Who says we don't get the action shots. Check out this scratch and sniff sequence. No worries, the kid was fine, except for Carmelo's slobber all over his face.

Did you see The Ripple Effect?
Last weeks WORLD PREMIER was a special Aspen moment. The film is a visual masterpiece honoring Aspen/Snowmass. It was produced by Futuristic Films and Aspen Skiing Company and was filmed entirely in the Aspen area and stars our local athletes.
The Ripple Effect is also a bittersweet memorial to beloved local boarder Wallace "Wally Do" Westfeldt who lost his life during a filming sesh. With the Westfeldt family's blessing, The Ripple Effect was completed and shown to 2 SRO audiences at The Wheeler Opera House.
Local shredders Pat Sewell,Chris Davenport (and his 7 yr old son Stian) and the Cardamone siblings, Will and Kate, star in the rip fest along with the late Wally Do. We especially dug Sewell's " bluebird drop in" run on Shadow Mountain and the siiiiiiiiiick super gnar line taken by Dav and both Cardamones on the backside of Aspen Highlands.

A true rider is 'out there' every day. Whether its on one stick or two, freeriders chase the freedom and seek the speed of ripping--- on mountain. If you're a freerider---TREW GEAR is for you.
Maybe you saw the Trew Gear RV freeballin' in front of Hamilton Sports the other day. TREW's mobile HQ was in town 'on tour' to spread the TREW word. Word up? Tripp Frey and the PEW bros., Chris and John are on the road & they're hitting all the sweet POW stashes in the Western U.S. You can follow their odyssey on line, and check out their stuff at TREWGEAR.Com. Our brief meeting with the TrewCrew was kind of a like a ski-bum mind-meld ....so we're gonna give their gear a try. We hope to answer the question on behalf of the TrewCrew---why can't technical outerwear look rad?
It does @ TREWGEAR.com

Aspen Art Museum / Dennis Basso Freestyle 08: Click 4 pix.We love the Aspen Art Museum (AAM). Its cool, its artsy, its accessible, its close by and its free.
We think its great that celebrity furrier Dennis Basso chooses to raise coin for AAM by throwing a decadent party and fur fashion show every year. Dennis Basso Freestyle 08 was an important see & be seen event during the wild and woolly holiday period in Aspen. All the show ponies were there.
Obviously we're not the most 'granola-y' or politically correct web site on the net, but fur, its just not our bag, baby. We worked Freestyle 08 anyway. It was a beautiful party, so we took glamour shotz of some of the beautiful people who partied with fur in Aspen to benefit AAM.

Inside Info: #1) At the super-VIP Basso pre party, a custom made fur valued at $200,000 caught fire on a decretive vanilla votive candle. The fire was extinguished and the coat repaired, but the model who sparked the flame will never live it down. #2) Actor Orlando Bloom and his lady friend were asked to leave the extremely private Aspen Mountain Club for excessive "canoodling". No PDA's @ AMC.
