Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Stephen Stills brought the heat to Aspen.  "It was great to see so many A.A.R.P. members rockin' out in A-Town" quipped dermatologist to the stars, Dr. Kenneth Mark. 

Stills, who defined the "rock and roll lifestyle" in the 60's and 70's played a  set of solo acoustic tunes and seemed to have trouble breathing at altitude.  Dr. Feelgood must have visited the rocker @ intermission, because the second set was an unruly, all electric rock & roll spectacle.

Stills jammed from his own extensive catalogue plus added tunes from Dylan, Joni Mitchell and Tom Petty. The absolute highlight was his super-rowdy version of Joe Walsh's Rocky Mountain Way-- so, so siiiiiiiiiiiick.

Snow Angels / She Devils

Gretchen Bleiler and Clair Bidez @ Cover Girl's Snow Angels InvitationalIt was a double/double in Aspen.  2 HU-MONGO events on the very same day---AND it was a POWDER DAY too.  Decisions/ Decisions.  We ripped first and then took care o'biz at both soirees.  Snow Angels /She Devils--somebody's got to cover this stuff.

Duplicity? Double vision? It was full-on Schizophrenia @ AspenSpin.

18 of the top professional snow boarding shred betties were in town for the Cover Girl Snow Angels Invitational.  The Snow Angles mixed a super-progressive Pipe Sesh, with spa-treatments, make-overs, photo shoots, yoga, fine dining and a re-donk-u-lous girls night out.  The whole thing was hosted by Aspen's own local Olympic Princess, Gretchen Bleiler.

You must be 18 to enter.On the other side of the coin, Fox Sports' Best Damn Sports Show held the Hooters Bikini Fashion Show.  The talent (both natural and enhanced) was abundant. Spring Loaded

In Aspen, April is the new March; meaning killa skiing and riding.  Colorado's been getting copious amounts of Spring powder and the conditions in Aspen are siiiiiiiiiiiiiick.   Saturday on Ajax, we got dumped on to the tune of 10-12".  FRESHIES,  Niiiiiiice.

The blizzzzz didn't stop SPRINGBOARD from throwing their annual Spring Fling BBQ to raise money for local non-profits.  SpringBoard set up shop at Buckhorn Cabin on Ajax and served up burg.s, brats and brew-skis for the whole mountain. SpringBoard is a group of motivated young adults in Aspen who want to give something back to their community.  SpringBoard annually selects several deserving charities in the Roaring Fork Valley to receive contributions. Despite a Spring blizzzzz, SpringBoard's Spring Fling was a huge success.

The Trustafarians

Spring-time in Aspen attracts affluent visitors from all over the world.  Many of them actually ski and ride in our Rocky Mountain retreat.

Maybe you've read about Wall St. prodigy Cooper Sosberg, the youngest "hedgie" in the world.  In 2008, his long/short fund, the Pre-School Strategy Fund returned 48%.  Sosberg is known, as the "anti-Madoff" for his extreme transparency. He's up 28% YTD in 2009.  The pint-sized Sos was discovered drawing investment algorithms in the sand box at school & now he has the keys to the kingdom. We ran into Sosberg and his grandfather, Jeffrey during their recent house-hunting trip to Aspen.  "No fractionals for me" declared Sosberg---"I'm going BIG."
