Ski in / Ski Out Sushi at the Nest
AspenSpin doesn't travel to Snowmass very often---but when we do--we like to make it count. A-Spin recently attended a media "tweet up" at THE NEST Restaurant at the Viceroy Snowmass. There is no question that Viceroy Snowmass is an utterly luxurious property. The rooms are spacious and plush, the common areas are beautiful and the spa...well, its to die for. So when we received an invitation to sample the new Sushi cuisine at The Nest---we jumped on it. Its always a good time for Freshies. Fresh Fish and Fresh Powder merge at The Nest.
Acclaimed Sushi chef Francis Mo recently came on board at The Nest and converted the casual, slope side and pool side venue into a killer sushi restaurant. Our fact checkers are still doing their thing---but The Nest may be the only Ski in / Ski out sushi restaurant in America. When Chef Mo declared "you're in my hands" we left the ordering to him. Our small group feasted on a variety of creative and delicious sushi rolls as well as the house specialty Lobster Soup with Almond Milk. For desert, Mo insisted that we try The Creme Brulee with Ginger------ it was awesome.
As mentioned previously in these pages, A-Spin has made it a personal goal to visit Snowmass at least 10 times this season. On our first trip we discovered a fantastic reason to make the short 8 mile journey, slope side Sushi at THE NEST. ( pictured below) Viceroy GM, Hugh Templeman and Chef Mo joined @JillyLivi, @Campbelllevy and @eatingaspen for lunch at The Nest.
