Ladies Rule at FreeStyle '10
It was ladies night in Aspen at Dennis Basso Freestyle 2010, a fundraising event for the Aspen Art Museum (AAM). Freestyle was dominated by the women as an international triumvirate of ladies co-chaired the annual fashion and fur Freestyle bash. Isabella Dalenson, Gabriela Garza and Nicola Marcus joined AAM's Director Heidi Zuckerman Jacobson and acclaimed auctioneer Gabriela Palmieri from Sotheby's to tear the roof off the sucka at the St Regis in Aspen.

The BIG Boys and their BIG toys took a back seat to the farer sex at Freestyle 2010. All the girlies in Aspen put on their best party dresses to see and be seen at Freestyle. The fasionistas turned it up a notch this year as the outfits were outrageous. Sexy, colorful and classic carried the evening. It was a model-fest too as Jewels from Pierre/Famille were paraded throughout the cocktail arena. A plush silent auction, a lush caviar bar and free flowing Champagne from Perrier-Joulet backed by Absolute Vodka Martinis made for a festive atmosphere. An international crowd of beautiful people turned out for AAM once again.....and one ski bum. Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars was raised in the live auction which included trips to the Emmy's, The Super Bowl, Paris, Milan and Monaco. Live auction lots included contemporary art, jewels and a one-of-a -kind Russian Sable Coat which sold for $120,000. In the early going the bidding was controlled by the females as the gentlemen looked on approvingly. The final lot, the full length, reversible sable coat, brought out the heavy hitters as the boys stepped up and a fierce bidding war ensued. Size X Size stepped in to take the wrap home to mommy.
The AAM is about to embark on a huge expansion...one of historic proportions...as construction on their new building begins in early 2011. The 2010 Freestyle was a party of historic proportions.
