Everybody wants some.   Everybody needs some.  How 'bout you?

Yesterday there was plenty to go around.  Laps on 6, the Shoulder of Bell,  Kind Bowl, it was ALL GOOD.  Did you GET SOME?  We did, and it felt soooooooooooo good. 

 For those who were lucky enough to be in Aspen ---it was another EPIC POWDER DAY.    15 to 20 inches of very, verrrrrrrrry deep POW floated in from the North.   It was SIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiCk----again.

For the Beautiful People ( and you know who you are),  March is a time to bask in the sun, ski a few groomers and drink responsibly ---all day long.  The huge storm system that socked us in required many of the pretty, pretty ones to change their plans. 

Sure, we're ready to hit the beach too, but, we buttoned up our powder skirt again and SchRAAAAaaaaaaalped it. 

Don't worry,  we've got a monster backlog of "better than excellent" party pix to share with y'all.   If you're lookin' for your image, keep on clickin' ---you'll be in the BIG TIME soon.  First things first, we have to buckle up and hit it again.

Masters of the Universe

T.I.A.--This is Aspen---anything goes.  March is PRIME TIME in Aspen.  Our un-matched spring conditions paired with the ultimate party scene makes ASPEN----the #1 spot on Earth.     All the BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE are here for March.  The Show Pony's have come to town.

This year, The 39th Annual Director's Cup ski race was held in Aspen.  If you're not familiar with The Director's Cup, you're probably not as wealthy as you think you are.  These big shots are about as big as they come.  100 of the most influential business people in America made it here for 4 days of ski racing and some extra curriculars.  Each race squad had 8 Masters of the Universe types, 1 Pro Racer and 1 Legend (former Olympians World Cuppers, etc.).  The Director's Cup is sponsored by Sentient Private Jets and NASDAQ--if that's any indication.  All the initials were here for the race.  CEOs, CFOs, CIO's VCs, PEs, IBs, SPAC's a couple of TRUST-afarians and a bunch of hedgies. 

Who cares if the economy is in a free fall-----LET'S SKI!!!  LET'S PARTY.  We even jammed with the STONES.  Aspen Spin takes you behind the velvet rope, ----VIP ONLY.

The Association

In Aspen, it always pays to be connected.   We were recently invited to The Aspen Chamber Resort Association's,(ACRA) quarterly networking event.   Nobody can out network Aspen Spin, so we made the scene.  Who knew that a business-to business mixer could be so much fun? Apparently, ACRA did.  Click ACRA to see their website, it's one of the most informative sites in Aspen.

The "apres work"  event took place at the Isberian Rug Company. The spacious "magic carpet" store proved to be an awesome spot for a party.  Super-tasty finger foods were served by  Back Door Catering  and paired with drinks compliments of   Names and Numbers . It made for a festive affair.  Stephan Isberian created a rug-related, wall-to-wall scavenger hunt that had all the ACRA members aggressively searching the stacks of carpets for the correct clues.  Kim Moore from The Aspen Club won the grand prize, a beautiful rug worth several thousands of dollars.

The food was magnificent (especially the meatballs), the setting unmatched, the company was stellar and we almost, ---almost, splurged for a beautiful floor tapestry.  We can't wait to see what ACRA comes up with for next quarter's event.

You can take the boy out of the 313, but you can't take the 313 outta the boy. Aspen Spin is planning to attend the NCAA Hoops Final Four on April, 7, 2008,  or ski AJAX.

If not, we're hitting GUYS NIGHT OUT.   Food, drinks, "casino style" gambling, foxy entertainers, prizes, stogies and the MOST MASSIVE flat screens possible.  These guys do it right----and it's all for a good cause.  We've heard times are tough back there in MOTOWN,------ but "hard-core" partying with your homies is recession proof.
