People are complaining---"Where's my picture?"-- "how come I'm not up yet?" -- "too many e-mails"- "A-Spin won't load on my Blackberry"--"my computer's so slow"-- "text me" --"I'm BIG TIME". blah blah blah.
So far this season we've had 25 POWER DAYS. 25 days that Aspen Ski Co. has reported --6" or more. That's 25 paid days off for the entire staff of Aspen Spin. We haven't missed one POW day. So we're a little behind. SORRY!!!.
Life is tough all up in here at A-Spin. The photo album BIKINIS & MARTINIS depicts a typical day in Aspen, Saturday March 1, 2008. We skied, we beach partied, we skied some more, we Apres skied, we Gala-ed, we after-partied, we crashed at 3 am, woke up 7am, walked Carmelo, got in line, and ripped a 15" POW day. We're runnin' a little slow right now, OK?
So give us a break, will ya? Click -- BIKINIS & MARTINIS.
Aspen is really growing up fast. So far this week we've had almost three feet of FRESH POW, an over-night
Police stand-off (with real guns) and 3 counts of Human Smuggling. Not bad. We also had a bunch of crazy Celebs in town to race for ASPEN YOUTH EXPERIENCE.
Of the hundreds of non-profits that make Aspen their home, AYE is one of our favorites. Check out their site at www.AYEXP.org .
Their noble mission: To empower at-risk teens to overcome their obstacles by providing transforming experiences and continuous follow-up support. They also throw a first-class event, the star powered 12th Annual Aspen Celebrity DownHill---it was HUGE. Get in with the STARS on A-Spin.
We've got plenty of pix from race day in the ARE YOU EXPERIENCED? photo album.
Coming Soon we'll be posting A-spin's pix from the AYE GALA as well as the 31st Annual Beach Party (bikini shots).
Another 15 inch+ BLIZZARD swept through Aspen late on Saturday night, making Sunday an epic POW day. Dude, what a weekend!!!---- Saturday, March 1, gave us a magnificent blue bird, crystal clear, 50 degree "social" skiing day. There were 5 (count 'em) on-mountain parties at Ajax. The bashes included the Aspen Youth Experience (AYE) Celebrity Downhill and the 31st annual Beach Party. We've got the bikini pix to prove it, too (coming soon). The raucous partying continued very late into the night on Sat.---but when those big, fluffy, pillow-like flakes started falling around midnight, the smart ones cut their boozing short and tried to get some sleep. Unexpectedly, a beautiful, deep blanket of "white gold" dropped and it kept dropping. The sh*t was BALLS DEEP---sorry ladies, Crotch Deep, ----and it was sweeeeeeeeet!!, very sweet.
We were way to busy ripping up the POW yesterday to shoot any pix. We did get some Rock and Roll shots from the two killer shows last week----click 'em ----in the R and R photo album. On back-to-back nights SouthSide Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and Appetite for Destruction (almost Guns and Roses) provided the ROCK.
Click R and R to see how we Roll -----here in A-Town.
Once every four years we get to enjoy an extra day. Make the most of today. Do something you ordinarily don't do. Take a chance. Go for it. Live today like it's your last one. You can blame A-Spin, but please send us the pix.
