April 24, 2010 A foot of POW POW fell in Aspen just in time for the final , final closing day on Aspen Mountain. Colorado tourisim never had it so good. AspenSpin is already ski-habbing in Cali. but our bud Jeremy Swanson captured the scene in late April. P.S. Sources report that the best POW of the season fell in late April and early May. All but a few in Fat City missed the fun.

MedicineAspen, Colorado: It's more than a ski area---it's a lifestyle....and its always 4:20.
Events abound all year long. Food & Wine, Winterskol, X Games, World Cup, Closing Day, etc.etc. Heading into our summer hiatus AspenSpin wanted to go out on a high note...so we took a quick tour of the Colorado Cannabis Crown at the St. Regis early Saturday. We smelled the hemp at 8am....so...WTF. A-Spin's social media rap granted us access just as the festival doors openned. Obviously the "no medicating in public" rule was broken before sunrise. Thanks to Nug Source, Alternative Medical Solutions and NORML it looks like Aspen is a boom town again. Wake and Bake.

April 12, 2010 It's all over except the Arthroscopy. Aspen's ski season came to an explosive end on Sunday.... but what a way to go out. A picture perfect Colorado blue-bird day greeted the revelers and rippers on Ajax. You can kiss the Aspen 2009/10 ski season goodbye (except for private ski day today and 2 more add-on weekends).

Aspen Mountain, aspen, skiing April 9, 2010 Poof....and its gone. The 2009/10 ski season will go out with a bang this weekend in Aspen. Aspen Locals are skiing every day and partying every night---but as you know that's just standard operating procedure for Aspen Spin. We'll have plenty of pix from closing weekend on Ajax. Between the POW storms and the never ending parties its been a wild ride. More SICK PIX to follow.

Aspen Highlands Closing Day 2010. Click 4 pixThe POW, the PIX, the PEOPLE--it all came together for Aspen Highlands closing day 2010. The entire staff of AspenSpin.com ripped a few early POWDER runs, then we attended a series of on-mountain parties (see separate posting below). Late in the day we rode one final lap at Aspen Highlands for 2010 and eventually joined the festivities at the base (already in progress). That's when things started to get blurry. AspenSpin snapped 1000's of photos at The Rave, but we can't remember anything. Blotto.
It was a full on RAVE at the base of Aspen Highlands. Music, booze, dancing, costumes, extra curriculars. Stimuli abounded. All five of our senses were tapped to the fullest. What really happened???? Only the camera knows.
